These terms govern your use of TiedUp. By creating an account you agree to be bound by them. If you do not agree, do not use TiedUp.
Who can use TiedUp
You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. TiedUp is designed for consensual adult relationship structures only. It is not intended for use in coercive, abusive, or non-consensual contexts. If you are located in a jurisdiction where access to this type of content is restricted, you are responsible for ensuring compliance with local law before using the app.
What TiedUp is
TiedUp is an accountability and rule-tracking tool for adults who have voluntarily chosen to participate in consensual relationship structures. It does not provide relationship advice, legal services, or mental health support. Nothing in the app constitutes professional advice of any kind. If you are in distress or unsafe, please contact an appropriate emergency service.
Account registration
You agree to provide accurate information when registering. You are responsible for all activity under your account and for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials. Notify us immediately at support@tiedup.app if you believe your account has been compromised. One account per person; account sharing is not permitted.
Subscriptions and billing
Some features of TiedUp require a paid subscription managed through Stripe, Inc.
Billing: subscriptions are billed in advance on a recurring basis. By subscribing you authorise us to charge your payment method at the start of each billing period.
Cancellation: you may cancel your subscription at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period; you retain access to paid features until that date.
Refunds: we do not refund partial billing periods except where required by applicable law.
Price changes: we will give at least 30 days' notice before changing subscription prices. Continued use of the service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the new price.
Your content
You retain ownership of all content you create in TiedUp. You grant us a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to store, process, and display your content solely to provide the service to you and any partners you choose to share it with. We will never use your content for advertising or to train machine-learning models.
Acceptable use
You agree not to: - Use TiedUp to harass, coerce, threaten, manipulate, or harm any person. - Share another person's personal data or content without their explicit and informed consent. - Upload or distribute content that is illegal in your jurisdiction or that depicts non-consensual activity. - Attempt to access another user's account or any data that is not your own. - Attempt to circumvent, disable, or reverse-engineer the security or access controls of the service. - Use automated tools to scrape or bulk-extract data from the service. - Resell or sublicense access to TiedUp without our prior written consent.
Enforcement and termination
We may warn, suspend, or permanently terminate accounts that violate these terms. For serious violations — including illegal content, fraud, or depiction of non-consensual activity — we may terminate without prior notice. For less severe violations we will typically issue a warning first.
You may close your account at any time through Settings. On termination, your right to access the service ends immediately. Your data will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
Intellectual property
TiedUp, its design, code, trademarks, and branding are owned by us or our licensors. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from any part of the service without our prior written permission.
Disclaimers
The service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or uninterrupted availability. We do not warrant that the service will be error-free or that content you or other users create will be accurate.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, TiedUp and its officers, directors, employees, and agents will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages — including loss of data or loss of profits — arising from your use of or inability to use the service, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.
Our total aggregate liability to you for any claim will not exceed the greater of (a) the total fees you paid to TiedUp in the twelve months immediately before the claim arose, or (b) USD $100.
Nothing in this section limits or excludes liability that cannot be excluded under applicable consumer protection law, including statutory rights you may have in your country of residence.
Governing law
These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of [Jurisdiction, e.g. England & Wales]. Any dispute that cannot be resolved informally will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of [Jurisdiction]. If you are located in the European Union, nothing in this clause affects the mandatory consumer-protection rights you have under the laws of your country of residence.
Changes to these terms
We will notify you of material changes by email or in-app announcement at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of the service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
